Any Success Streaming Cyclones.tv through DVD Player

Does anyone out here have a wireless Dvd player that can stream Cyclones.tv?

I currently use a WIDI laptop and push2tv. My laptop has Intel i3 and it does pretty good but by the time it gets to the tv it is jumpy. Don't want to try to go up to Intel i5 or i7 due to the cost if I can get a DVD player that would do it for a couple hundred.

There are bluray players with built-in browsers with flash capability. Haven't heard yet if anyone has successfully watched ctv content this way.

The i3 should be plenty fast. I'd blame the push2tv or whatever you're using. Trying going straight to the TV with HDMI and see if that helps.

I haven't found specs on DVD players that show they have flash capability.

has anyone been able to stream through their Panasonic tv using the Viera web browser? I am to lazy to research. I just assume it doesn't support flash.

Agreed, I would also consider, but a DVD player would be much cheaper. Hope someone can check this out.

Re: Any Success Streaming Cyclones.tv through DVD Player

I tried a Samsung that is supposed to support flash and it was so slow that it wouldn't stream. I do believe that a Sony google tv blu ray player may do it because google uses chrome with built in flash but they are pricey.

LG has a tv with integrated google tv, and a really cool remote, but I don't feel like buying a new tv yet.

If anyone has found a blu ray player that can handle it please let me know as well..... I'm struggling too.

I don't mind plugging in my hdmi cable to the tv....but it won't go full screen....and the sound is soft.

Re: Any Success Streaming Cyclones.tv through DVD Player

Flash is a HUGE security mess. The fewer devices you have using it the better :) Now, as for watching it on a tv, the best way is to just use the hdmi or vga out on your laptop / computer. It will have the best quality as the browsers on most tvs / dvd / bluray players are not very good.

Re: Any Success Streaming Cyclones.tv through DVD Player

Just bought a Samsung 3D Blu Ray player, BD-F5900 and it streams cyclones.tv. Not sure what it will do with live feed, but watched the spring game highlights and with fast movement becomes a little grainy. I have it on wireless with gigabit router. Not sure what it would do if hooked directly to ethernet.

Apple TV + iPad + 60 inch TV for my solution. Looks great! If you have an iPhone or ipad I highly recommend the Apple TV
