Kind of what happened with Ken Lynn.

That would be K-State, I believe. Baylor is the weekend before Signing Day, if there are any late visits.

Less then three weeks away from signing day (Feb 6th) and there is more work for the staff to solidify this year's class. Football recruiting is very competitive and it is a positive sign other programs want to recruit ISU commitments.

Competition for Badet is high. He visited Wake on 1/11. Rivals lists him as visiting Kentucky 1/18 and NC State on 1/25. Plus Clemson has reportedly talked with him this week. On top of it, he attended Nebraska's bowl practice.

I wouldn't count out Jalen Barnes. I think he knows he should go to ISU and that is the best place for him, but there are other things pulling him to Houston. I wouldn't be surprised if he commits here on signing day.

I hope you are correct and Barnes becomes a Cyclone.

I imagine CPR and staff are living out of a suitcase keeping the class together. He has said in the past that it is not about who you miss on signing rather if their evaluation is wrong on the signees.

Only two more weekends for visits before LOI signing day. Below are some names of players reportedly considering signing with the good guys. Jalen Barnes should probably be on the list as well.

My thought is that Cotton-Moya took Barnes' spot. I think that the staff moved on and probably didn't like being jerked around by him. Rhodes looks like a lot of WRs they've been getting lately...6'2, decent speed. My question is why are they even recruiting WRs and DBs right now? Seems to me that the holes are HS DE, JC DE, JC DT, JC LB. They need to shore up that defense and the only JUCO they have committed there is Coe, who has said he wants to redshirt. The only reasoning that I can think of why they haven't gone heavier JUCO on defense is that they must be really happy with RSFR like Knott, Seeley, White, Bevins, Aka, Meyers, Cousins. Those guys are going to have to step up, because we haven't seen anything from Miller, Woods and Jensen to say that they're anything but rotation guys at best.

I would maybe agree on LBer but the Dline has impressed everyone from what I have gathered. Also, this late in the game, it's tough to find players worth having around at those positions and I think we have enough depth for depths sake. I also think Jensen could fill in fine and Woods will be serviceable. That said, I think Woods will be beat out by one of those redshirt freshmen, maybe Aka. Then again, I was the crazy bastard who said mcDonough would find his way to All-Conference. It's clear they want a rush end to replace Suttles and Maison is definitely a rush end. I actually think we have a bunch of guys that will move between 3-tech and SDE depending on the opponent and situation. Aka, Meyers and Bevins could all be guys who see time at both spots.

Yeah, I am not all that worried about DE because Scott is back and they have Irving, Morrissey and Kron, not to mention Bevins reportedly was good enough to play this year if they didn't already have good depth. I AM worried about the interior DL. Jensen and Woods will have to get a lot better in a short amount of time. Guess I'm not saying that the staff should go out right now and find a JUCO DT for depth...just surprised that they weren't doing that 6 months ago. Same for LB.
