    Payout for ISU

Since ISU isnt going to a Big 12 bowl game how does the payout work for the Liberty Bowl? Is it added to the conference pool of money or do they get a direct payout from the bowl?

I would assume it goes to the conference pool

    This is correct.

I donít care where you come from, whether itís Texas, Florida, California, or right here in the state of Iowa, I donít care about any of thatÖ But what I did care about is moving forward from that day on, that we were one team." -Paul Rhoads

We'll throw 'the ringer' into the conference pool. Then the cash will be ours.

    Re: Payout for ISU

I made a list of each team's contribution and then the cut for each school. I don't know if Kansas gets any money or not so I did both.

    Baylor - $2.075M
    Texas Tech - $1.7M
    West Virginia - $1.8M
    Texas - $3.175M
    TCU - $3.325M
    ISU - $1.4375M
    Oklahoma State - $1.1M
    Oklahoma - $3.625
Kansas State - $18M (Assuming $36M for the payout)
    Total: $36,237,500

Total cut per team (excluding Kansas): $4,026,388.88
Total cut per team (including Kansas): $3,623,750

If Oklahoma would've made a BCS it would've meant an extra $2M PER TEAM

    My teams: (as of 9/20/13)
    Cleveland Browns: 0-2 - .000
    Cleveland Indians: 83-70 - .542
    Cleveland Cavs: 24-58 - .293
    Iowa State Cyclones (FB): 0-2 - .000

    9/22/18 & 9/7/19
    Akron and Iowa State

    Re: Payout for ISU

Does anyone know if the money needed for the team and band to travel including, hotels, food, buses, is taken out of the payout money?

So, if we want two BCS teams next year, we just need to figure a way to roll over to lose in some situations so we can get $2M more? How sweet is that.

Each team gets some money from the bowls. The conference also keep a part of the money. I also think if you go to a higher paying bowl you get a bigger piece of the pie.

That comes out of the bowl payments. Since the whole athetic dept feels the need to go to these games on the bowl budget and it does cost a few bucks to send the team and staff not much if any money is made going to bowls. I think the band is on their own, since each year they call begging for money to go, but they do get screwed in that they have to buy their seat tickets, and in return the bowl gets a free halftime show.
