The one constant through all the years, Ray, has been baseball. America has rolled by like an army of steamrollers. It has been erased like a blackboard, rebuilt and erased again. But baseball has marked the time. This field, this game: it's a part of our past, Ray. It reminds of us of all that once was good and it could be again. Oh... people will come Ray. People will most definitely come.

I have trouble feeling sorry for someone who shot someone else before shooting himself. Sorry not sorry.

I wasn't even thinking about him as much as his girlfriend, his family, her family and wow, if it's true that people actually witnessed it, I feel for them. That is one of those, "Not sure I'll get over this" kind of moments.

Yeah, according to the article, Belcher's mother witnessed the first shooting. What in the ****.

I noticed that during the low periods of my life, when I was suffering from anguish, sorrow or defeat, I could see only one set of footprints, so I said to the Lord,
“You promised me Lord, that if I followed you, you would walk with me always. During the most trying periods of my life there has only been one set of footprints in the sand. Why, when I needed you most, have you not been there for me?”
“Because,” says the Lord, “Sandpeople always ride single-file, to hide their numbers.”

I've heard of some teams being so bad that players quit on the team but...
