    Iowa State vs. Kansas

IF Iowa State beats kansas on saturday, then what what will the chances of us landing some bigger recruits we've been after like B.J. Daniels, or maybe David Bedford or the 4* juco db, Maurice Gray?

    Re: Iowa State vs. Kansas

I would be surprised to see Daniels commit. We are pretty set at QB and most HS QB's want a shot to play QB in college. I'm not sure we could give him that chance with Arnaud, Bates, Tiller, and Jordan in the program.

I understand he is a higher recruit than any of those guys, but I just don't see him wanting to come into that situation.

that makes a lot of sense, do you think tiller might transfer seeing how he might not play that much with arnaud at the QB position

I would think he understood that when he committed. Hopefully, he has the mentality that he wants to go in there and beat Arnaud out. If Arnaud and/or Bates beat him out, he still has a chance to be the starter for at least two years after Bates and Arnaud graduate.

A win would be a huge, especially for recruiting. And a win is possible. But it is a big if for sure. Kansas is beatable.

According to the experts at kxno ...isu has "no chance" to win in Lawrence this afternoon and I think they are right.

I-State always plays lousy football while in the state of Kansas going back to my first game their in '78 with earle bruce and a top 20 bowl team that whopped Kansas by 13-6 ...while having to use a 4th quarter goal line stand to secure the victory. Wanta know how many games KU won that year? As I remember One Lousy Game is all..and we looked like we were lost somewhere in the fog.

The best that can come out of this game is NOT TO GIVE UP 76 POINTS!!!!...And get out of Lawrence with our health!!!

And thats the way it is on nov 17th, 2007!!!

    Re: Iowa State vs. Kansas

I doubt it helps recruiting all that much, to be honest. We'd still only be 4-8. It may be a MUCH better 4-8 than we were last year, but it's still 4-8.

Chizik's recruiting style doesn't seem to be "look how great we are" selling snake-oil, it seems to be "here's where we are as a program, and we think you could fit here. We have this to offer, and this to work on. We want you, if you want us. Take your time and make the right decision for you" I don't think we'll be significantly different as a program if we beat Kansas this weekend. We've still got a LONG way to go.

To be honest, I don't want kids who are going to commit over 1 win. I want kids who want to be at ISU, win or lose.

I agree, this win would probably be have the largest positive effect on the fan base, solidifying support which is always good. IMO, ISU has nothing to lose here.

ESPN had a poll up, and out of OU, Mizzou, and KU, those that voted chose KU as most likely to lose today with 41% of the vote.

    ISU/KU Gameday Poll

I don't know if you guys woke up early enough to catch Gameday... they had a poll up at the beginning of the show for America to vote online: Which Big 12 team has the biggest chance to be upset today? The choices were Kansas, Missouri, and Oklahoma.

Kansas came in first, and caught Chris Fowler completely off-guard. I didn't have the sound up, but he said something to the effect that our offense needs to be more consistent and that he doesn't necessarily agree with "America".

Thought you guys might've had something to do with it, but I saw no mention of it on the boards. Let's go 'Clones, America has our back!

I think it just proves we are America's team & the point that we are the best 3 win team in the history of the world...or how much America doesnt believe Kansas is really that good.
