    Recommendations for insoles

I wear cross-training shoes when I'm officiating basketball. Lately I've been having heel pain after games. I kind of think it is the shoe (recently switched brands) but I wanted to try a different insole before I gave up on them. I've tried both Dr. Scholls and Spenco in the past, guess I've really not noticed much difference in quality. Anyone have recommendations?

Has anyone tried those "custom" Dr. Scholls where you stand barefoot on the machine and it makes a recommendation for you? Seems interesting but they cost like $50.

I have never been to a podiatrist, but I think maybe they provide services like this? And maybe that would be covered by insurance? Worth a call, anyway!

Go to Fitness Sports in Windsor Heights. They will let you stand on the insoles to see what you like, and may be able to make reccomendations.

Aren't podiatrists just guys who couldn't get into med school, like dentists and chiropractors? Hahaha.

I believe so, but DO NOT tell them that. I've never been to one, but have worked with one in the past.
