Would have preferred it the other way (beating UC to play UNLV) but if Oregon also beats UC, and ISU can beat UNLV — could still be resume-booster down the line. A split (and a win vs. BYU) will make me feel a little better.
All four teams are in a similar boat — flaccid schedule until this two-day test. Difference is, ISU & Oregon started unranked, the others had preseason hype.
Just an "unlucky" draw really. It's a chance to lose for a second night in a row, but also a chance to beat a ranked opponent. Just would've been nicer to have this chance after a win tonight, making a possible loss tomorrow seem more "acceptable".
Hopefully we pull it off, two losses in two days would sting.
UNLV did not look impressive. ISU should have a good shot at taking this one.
UNLV look pretty good...they were playing Oregon which will be a top 20 team. UNLV will be a tough team to beat. I felt we played not so good. I would grade us B- i'd say. We have a lot of work to do. We didn't look smooth.
