Dreaded Yellow Light May Be Trap for Traffic Violations - NationalJournal.com

Pretty much what some people have been saying all along: some municipalities monkey with the yellow light duration to maximize revenue from the cameras.

The most interesting statistic from the article? Increasing the yellow light duration by 1 second decreases the accidents at an intersection by 40%. But that doesn't put any money in their pockets, so forget about that.

Would love to see this done more. I am surprised how short the yellow is on some lights.
