22 wins? I admit, I've had some of the cardinal and gold kool-aid they serve in Ames, but whatever they're having in Iowa City -- it's potent!!

Also like the look of Freshman Jarryd Cole who already stands 6′9 and weighs 250lbs.
For a Hawkeye expert, he should probably know Cole is listed at 6'7" and probably isn't over 6'6".

I think it's great that Juice added a comedy section. I think I saw Den Baccam performing at the Funny Bone last week, but he clearly saved his best material for his blog.

Yeah well, ya know, that's just, like uh, your opinion, man.

Sure you aren't thinking of Bill Blank? He's the comedian.

    Re: 22 wins for Iowa???

I wasn't aware that a prediction from a fan would get this much attention. I mean, this guy is just basing his opinions on his own biased views, and everybody gets all up in arms. I don't know if you guys have seen Iowa's schedule, but 22 wins is entirely possible. I am by no means predicting it, but I could see 12 OOC wins, and 8-10 BT wins depending on how much the team improves.

Iowa will not be going to the NCAA - not unless some sort of miracle happens. But, the schedule outside the BT isn't that daunting, and if the Hawks could take care of business at home even 90% of the BT season, it is a very reasonable prediction.

I normally don't give a crap what Iowa does but I couldn't resist after this post...

10 BT wins? Thank you, I needed that this morning.

I really hope that Hawk fans expect that many wins just so I can watch another patented Iowa BB meltdown.

You did squeak by Northern Colorado last night so let's bring on Ohio State!

They looked to be the equivalent of a N. Colorado team that won 4 games last year. There is no way they get 22 wins. If they do, that means the Big 11 is really, really bad.

I would be shocked if Iowa ended up with a winning record. Shocked.

Again, I'm not predicting 22 wins. I'd say probably more around 15-17 would be quite a bit more likely.

However, I'm not sure how ISU fans who predict 20+ wins after squeaking by Centenary and Winston-Salem and an Iowa fan saying it's possible is any different.

I'm not sure if you noticed, but Winston-Salem just lost to Duquesne 93-63, and finished 5-24 on the season last year. So I guess this is kind of a "Pot meet kettle" moment. I'm just curious as to how this guy is so pathetic for predicting such a season, when a lot of ISU fans are guilty of the same thing?

Personally, I don't think anything is wrong with either fan base predicting a good season. I personally wouldn't, simply because I believe it'll take time, but to expect a fan base to expect mediocracy is ridiculous.
