Hopefully the field hasn't been mowed since the Oklahoma game.

But I'm guessing we don't really change too much. We already play a pretty conservative D designed to stop the big plays. Maybe less blitzing than normal.

Keep him off the field. Long sustained, clock gobbling drives by our offense..... or have Givens light him up.

Don't think Givens is going to have the chance to wind-up for a big hit....

Re: So, what is the game plan to stop this guy?

Also, let's keep them off the field by getting first downs. We had several plays where our receivers set up short and didn't get the first downs. It is sometimes like they aren't even thinking about where they need to be (or they overestimate their ability to fight for the extra yards). Sure wish they would get across the first down line before they make the catch.

I'm getting the Shaky Smithson's just thinking about that guy. That video didn't help.

He was making the OU defense look silly.

“They're very, very hard to guard,” Notre Dame head coach Mike Brey said. “They're really good. And with Niang in the middle kind of wheeling and all those guys spreading you out, they're kind of a nightmare matchup. And they're men. They're really men.”

Nothing against Tavon, but there is some horrid tackling and coverage in there. Most of that could be stopped with better coverage and fundamental tackling. I trust in Wally to solve this issue.
