I think the big 12 schools have recently signed away their tv rights to the big 12. Would be tough for a school to leave without league dissolving.

I trust nothing when it comes to realignment. Best of the ACC and best of the big 12 could organize votes to dissolve and leave some folks out before solidifying their own 16 team conference. Also the PAC 12 needs 4. It's a matter of is Isu part of 64. Today they are tomorrow can change quickly though

Unfortunately, it's nothing a few attorneys couldn't severe especially if it is what the Almighty ESPN wanted. It's time for the Big XII to go on the offensive (FSU, Clemson, Pitt, Louisville). Crush the BE and ACC at the same time.

What would you do if you were the head of the conference and just had to watch the season you just saw. You've got one NC caliber team and they are under sanctions that prevent them from playing any post season, the other decent team, well, we all know what happened at PSU, the rest, just plain suck. Might as well expand. IF you can find a way to break every other conference, you win, even if you can't do it on the field. At the end of the day, look at the business climate in the 80s, this is what we are seeing here, "Can't beat em, buy em!" then sell off the crummy parts to the cheapest bidder.

You know what just ******* sucks? I un-followed Swaim, Doyle, Chip Brown, Thamel and others on Twitter on Saturday thinking "well, the alignment saga is over. Tired of these guys clogging my Twitter feed." Son of a *****. I hate this ****.

The signing of GOR was a huge good thing for this conference to do. I really do not see anyone leaving our conference instead expanding if they want to. Do we really need to follow suit?

Delany should be ashamed. What does Maryland and Rutgers bring? Purely a money grab. I guess there's never enough, but at least Nebraska was a brand name FB program with excellent facilities and attendance. Rutgers and Maryland are mediocre programs at best and the only thing they add are TV sets.

Well - at least we now know who to blame...

Seriously. I even thought this exact thing as I deleted them and then again when I saw the article Sunday. There's been a precedence for this. I held front-row tickets to a cancelled concert for 18 months because there was a chance it was going to be rescheduled. I finally gave up and cashed them in only to have the announcement come out four days later that the concert was on again. I have a reverse-Midas touch.

You're point? What do you think motivates the other BCS conferences that have expanded recently?

Don't get me wrong, I'm not happy with it, but what reasons would you expect them to have for adding teams?

Re: Conference realignment train coming down the tracks again?

Coach K from Duke was just on ESPN. He thinks the ACC is in trouble. After ND signed on, he thought things were looking good, now?? Does he expect more school to leave the ACC?
ESPN also reported Boise St, San Deago St and BYU will stay in the Mountain West.
MONEY carries a HUGE stick. I may not like bringing more schools into the BIG 12, but we may have no choice.
Get bigger or you lose money to Big 10 SEC, Pac 12.
Who would bring the MOST $$$ and TV sets?
Florida St and Clemsen, they were looking a few months ago. I know people don't like ND, but they get top notch
TV every week. Should be fun seeing who goes where.
    Go Cyclones.

Maryland and Rutgers to the Big X? Totally baffling.
