Re: CFTV: Messingham says consistency is key at QB

Announcers kept sayin' KU was putting no pressure on QB. At the same time our receivers were running loose in the secondary. Like SR's play, but KU is not Texas-or WV.

After the past two great weeks against TU and TT, KU and their fans looked worn out and ready for the season to end.

Basketball season has started and their football season had nowhere to go save an upset or two. So I'm not surprised that KU fans have checked out.

Statistically Kansas' defense is worlds better than WVU's. only Baylor ranks up with WVU in terms of bad defenses.

Interesting, I always thought inconsistency was what a team looked for in a QB.

Pretty sure SR would not have done any worse that Jantz did. Not sure if ISU wins the KU game if Jantz is still QB. 1st drive, fumble, 2nd drive - nothing. SR comes in and has 4 TD's by halftime.

Jantz won 1 Big 12 game in 2 years (can't give him the KU win because ISU only scored 3 points with him in). Really don't think sitting him is going to cost us anything.

Coach Mess looks relieved. He should buy SBR a big steak dinner for saving his job! (kinda)

I don't buy it. You have to start Richardson.

Matt did a lot better job of picking up the questions on the mike. That helps a lot in knowing what question the interviewee is answering.

Huh...funny how that works. Pick any dog-crap team and insert name...

EDIT: Sorry, had to do it.

I agree with Mess though - and we saw an awfully consistent game from SR on Saturday - he consistently got the ball to his receivers on time, on target and gave them a chance to do something with it. Catching the ball with your shoelaces or 3 feet over your head is NOT giving your receivers a shot.

Glad to see the team rallying around the RIGHT QB. Glad to see Mess' playcalling works just fine with the RIGHT QB.

Just trying to get beter every day and be more consistent (pun intended). It's easier when there are just a few of us reporters. Thanks for the feedback.
