An interview with Sean O'Mara, Sounds like he is wide open on College choices.

    NY2LASPORTS.COM - 2014 UPDATE - F/C SEAN O'MARA

On Saturday, O'Mara will slide over to Iowa State to watch the Cyclones take on TCU in a Big Twelve battle.

"I'm going up there on Saturday," O'Mara told NY2LASPORTS.COM earlier this week. "I get to watch them play. I'll see that game and hopefully see how the coaches interact with the players and how they react during the game. I'm looking forward to it."

Lisle (Ill.) Benet Academy 2014 Center Sean O'Mara is gearing up for his next unofficial visit, which will take place this weekend. We caught up with the coveted big man to get an update…

O'Mara holds offers from the likes of Boston College, DePaul, Illinois, Iowa State, Georgia Tech, Saint Louis, Virginia, and Xavier among others.

As much as I like this O'Mara kid. I think Xavier is the school that he will committ to. I would love to get a recruit of his stature.

I hope the atmosphere doesn't completely suck for TCU. I fear that it will.

Baylor, Okie State, OU. I think that is what he is talking about.

Nobody but HB knows for sure. You pretty much know nothing....like Knownothing would like to say.

To imply that it doesn't matter is naive. It may matter a ton to one guy and nearly nothing to another. Crowd support is often mentioned when ISU signs a recruit but in the end we don't know how muuch weight it actually held. Baylor commits just never mention it because it's the cash that wins them over.

If he is coming to watch us play TCU, at least we know he isn't just visiting to watch a good game, he must be genuinely interested in our program

I'm sure he'll take into account that we are playing TCU. Recruits aren't stupid. Also, hopefully he'll see us out on a scoring clinic

I think Niang will help alot with recruiting in the coming years. A facilitator big man that can score. People will not only see the success he has, but also see the scoring potential they would have as a result of double teams.

If you ask the basketball analysts outside the state of Iowa I think you would be surprised to hear their responses. Iowa was pegged as a preseason top 5 team by one ESPN analyst and is ranked in the vast, vast majority of preseason top 25 polls

Interview with Darrell Davis 2014 SG, appearently he is visiting ISU this weekend. Iowa has offered too among a number of other schools. This could be our first Fred vs Fran recruiting battle that we've seen in a while... Well since Georges. (I don't count Uthoff, IMO he was set on going to Iowa no matter the state of the program or coach.)

"Davis will be heading to Iowa St. this Saturday to tour the campus, get a feel for the school and basketball program when he gets a look at the coaching staff and how they work with their players, etc."
