aren't we top 5 in the country in rebounding? I don't necessarily disagree with you on that point, but it's interesting that we rank so highly in rebounds stat-wise, but it's still an area that needs improvement
#4. We were #1 after the first game. We rebounding extremely well last year, too. And all of this despite the lack of a true center; it's one of the fundamentals CFH really has them doing well.
Unless you are playing a taller team. And they have just as much heart as you do. Then you're screwed.
Tell that to Charles Barkley or Dennis Rodman. Neither of them were TALL. Both around 6'6". Actually Barkley was probably more like 6'5" (Some people say even 6'4")...Rodman might have been 6'6".5 or 6'7".
Rebounding is more about timing, knowing how to box out, etc. Height helps, but if you are real good with timing and your fundamentals, than 3 or 4inches difference between you and another guy might not make a major difference. Now, if you are 6'2", then yes it'll make a bigger difference.
Watch our game again. You'll notice how many rebounds Campbell got were because they had better timing than us.
