ISU in the blue and white

I did get to watch the last 5 minutes of the Kansas/Texas game...and Kansas reminds me a lot of Iowa State in every aspect. I know this seems weird..but it is as if ISU is in their uniforms and they are in cardinal and gold.

Besides that game...I have not seen them play. How is their defensive line? Must be pretty good to beat Tx barely.

Also...what is stronger..their running game or through the air?

    Thanks.

    ISU 20 KU 17.

I haven't seen much of KU either...but the one thing that is certain is that if our game doesn't turn out as we are hoping...this board will go full-meltdown!

Except the part where they are capable of doing something offensively maybe.

I've not watched them, but statistically they are run-heavy (80% +).

Re: ISU in the blue and white

Our guys have to be ****** about losing the past two games. We must take it out on KU. 7-5 is still available, and a win in the bowl game is just icing on top of the cake. That's a good record in this freaking sweet conference.

Hit 'em coming off the Bus CYCLONES! Beat these KU punks.

They only run the ball at a lower percentage than 8 other BCS teams. The only BCS team that runs 80%+ of the time is Georgia Tech (they run 80.06%). The next highest is Wisconsin at 67.5%

Re: ISU in the blue and white

They are fundamentally sound, not a ton of talent though. Frankly, they sound a lot like us, just not getting the wins, and they lack the Knotts and Kleins every team should have.

Still a shot to win 4 conference games in a season, which we haven't done since 2005.

You are correct, however as they have found themselves throughout the season they have run the ball more. Here are their games in chronological order:

    % of run plays
    SDSU .571
    Rice .568
    TCU .400
    NIU .625
    KSU .605
    OSU .605
    OU .674
    UT .862
    BU .612
    TTU .792

Over their last 3 games they have run the ball over 75% of the time. We should expect to see more of the same Saturday especially if they are able to stay in the game.
