    Finishing a Basement

Live in Warren County, looking to finish 1,100 sq. ft. basement. Got a couple recommendations from trusted source and have called to get estimates, but haven't gotten calls back to set anything up. So hopefully that means business is picking up and they don't need my business. Still, would be interested to know if anyone has a good, trustworthy contractor for me to contact about getting some estimates. Need everything, from framing it out to flooring and finishes. Any help would be appreciated.

if you aren't pulling permits I would say by pass the contractor if you can as their markup is crazy. I just did my basement and could pass on my contacts if you are not a serial killer.

judging by his location I'd give that a solid maybe.

I'll definitely be getting permits for the work. That's not to say, however, that I'm not a serial killer.

    Re: Finishing a Basement

You could try Hildreth construction out of Norwalk ... they do good work (not 100% sure they do basements) and I went to school with Mark and also am good friends with one of their framers.

If you want to pull your own permits go ahead and send me a private message as most of the people that worked on my basement were from Warren County and do quality work.
