    Top 25 Recruiting Class rankings

    Scout.com: Scout.com 2008 Top 25 Recruiting Classes

Basically the rich get richer. No Iowa State.

    A couple of surprises though:

    Mississippi State - 10
    Oregon - 11
    Nevada - 21
Honorable Mentions: Minnesota, Missouri, New Mexico, Pepperdine, Vanderbilt

At the bottom there are also links to the Top 100 2008 prospects, Top 75 2009 Prospects, and a few more things.

None of our 2008 recruits are in the 2008 Top 100 or 2009 Top 75.

Except in College Basketball, the rich don't really get richer, they just stay rich. Player turnover is so high, they're just restocking talent. The teams won't likely get any better, but they bring in that caliber player to replace that #1 or #2 Draft pick that just left.

With all the big names we went after going other places it does not surprise me at all. If we had landed two of the good post players we went after with buckley and eikemer than we might have gotten on that list

Re: Top 25 Recruiting Class rankings

We're probably middling nationally with this recruiting class. Buckley is nicely regarded as a PG, but there's concerns of Eikmeier being too slight of frame, Hamilton being a sleeper who hasn't played much in the way of varsity basketball, and a guy in Mann who at 6-7 may struggle to find a position.

The thing is... McD may not get the guys ranked high... but he'll get the ones that should be. See: Wes Johnson (Probably will say the same about Lucca Staiger after we get to see him play in the Big 12).

Re: Top 25 Recruiting Class rankings

Aren't most BB recruiting class rankings heavily dependent on how amny players you sign? In other words siging 4-2 star palyer is "better" than sigining 2-3 star players. It seems to me when we put together that top 5 class under LE is was mostly due to the fact that it was a very large class.
