Hopefully FT shooting becomes a factor. That's one thing they haven't been very good at. 53% as a team.

Does anyone know of an active Cincinnati message board? I've only found one that's semi-active.

Hope the guys come ready to play tomorrow. We may be in for our first loss. Doesn't get any easier the game after this one either against UNLV or Oregon.

    Re: Cincinnati

Some Cincy fans are real cocky about this game - think they'll win by 20+. Some are a little bit more realistic. Hope it's at least close for us.. I think we can win this game. We need to start out well though or else we'll be screwed. Our defense has been good this year for the most part though.

Just keep letting Cincy fans think that because we lost White, we'll suck. Don't tell them about Clyburn or Niang, or McGee. I love that about McGee. VERY good player, and the nation has no idea about him. Guy causes problems for the opposing team everywhere.

From reading the board, they think our best option is Niang. While he's a very good one, all I have to say is "ha HA"

Yeah most likely if he plays to how he can. He seriously has to be one of the most "hyper" players I've ever seen on any team NCAA or NBA. His motor is unreal.

With White, we win by 20+. Without him I doubt we lose by 20, but who knows, he could be a 40 +/- guy.

As good as White was, the reason he looked even better was because we didn't actually have a PG last year and he could do that. We now have a PG (or two, who can pass) and guys who can score more than he could. We lost a lot with him, but what we have this year, the difference IMO is not huge. The one thing to be missed from him is his rebounding. He obviously presented a big mismatch, but you don't need that to win.

I like what Clyburn brings to the table. Ejim, Booker, and McGee are all improved. I haven't seen enough of Babb to know if he's tons better or anything. I think Lucious will only continue to get back to how he should and he will be dangerous when he's on. Niang has a skill set higher than a freshman's for sure. Long is good for a freshman at PG, etc.

Maybe I'm being optimistic about this year, but I think we'll be fine. This will be a good test, but good thing it's early in the season if we get rocked.

Good points. No doubt White was unique, and he could xtake over when necessary. But the amount of balance with this team seems to have a ton of potential

    Re: Cincinnati

We aren't predicted to win by any ESPN analyst, which doesn't surprise me. I think we will make it a very good game. The key to beating Cincinnati is DEFENSE.
