Meh, if you feel you have to do curfew checks of 100+ guys you are going to have to hire somebody, and a security firm the school already uses for other things is as good an option as any.

Is there any chance that joker will be coaching at Auburn next year? Shouldn't that be on the betting board?

We could outsource that job to attractive females. Might help get a few recruits when they find out who will becoming to their rooms to make sure they're in bed.

This was my initial thought as well...

Not sure you could weight the odds enough to get anyone to bet that he will be back.

Never heard of it but I think it's a great idea! I know bed checks would be about the last thing I'd want to do if I was coaching D-I football.

Re: Ever heard of this before? Auburn Outsourcing curfew

Yeah because curfew is the problem at Auburn. Why don't they fire the chaplain and change the training table up too. There has to be a reason for the lack of success - they just haven't pinpointed it yet. I'm sure Gene will get to the bottom of it. He's that good. He is leaving no stone unturned.

Re: Ever heard of this before? Auburn Outsourcing curfew

I don't know why you guys are so surprised by this. When the Chiz was in Ames, he outsourced the OC and DC positions to his fishing buddies. Outsourcing bed checks to a security company seems pretty minor by comparison.

Might not help the athletes get any actual sleep though.

But we could make the payout huge if he is retained. Kind of like betting on my Royals at the beginning of every season that they are going to win the series!

Reports are that Chizik hired a Texas based security firm in which he is a 50% owner. Just kidding.
