Look at their recruiting classes under Hawkins, a lot of potential in recruits. Not much showing up though, hence the reason for failure, I am beating a coaching change will be happening shortly for CU.

I dont think Barnett or Jantz are the answer, but give me the guy that is actually leader on the field. It just seems like the team plays behind Barnett more than they do Jantz and you can tell it by their body language. I dont think Barnett is the quarterback next year and I dont think he is better than Steele, I think they are about even, but he is more of a leader and right now this team needs someone to lead this offense. Jantz's body language was called out last Saturday by the commentators, that is never good and if its being noticed by those on the outside, I have to believe its being noticed by the guys on his team.

In comparision.... Both QBs play with the EXACT same OL, The EXACT same RBs and the EXACT same WRs.

Are you trying to say that there is something ELSE going on?? The OL and WRs don't like Jantz on a personal level.. so they are throwing the games that he is in?? I guess I am confused by this comment. we are comparing Apples to Apples with only the QB switching off... Conclusion (1-6 vs. 4-4) Barnett is a better QB

    Completion Percentage 48.11% 62.26%
    Interception Percentage 5.66% 4.28%
    Fumble Percentage 3.57% 3.45%
    Yards/Catch 5.5 6

QB 1 is Barnett. QB 2 is Jantz

Are those ONLY big 12 games?? That is all that barnett has played in.

    Jantz(Big12 only) 137-263 1,434 yards 11 TDs 10 INTs (52.09% 204.86 average)
    Barnett 152-295 1,708 yards 12 TDs 8 INTs (51.53% 189.78 average)

Hmmm.... 52% vs 51.5%, 15 yard difference in yards per game, 10 INTs vs 8 INTs, 1-6(win over worst defense ever vs 4-4(wins over 3 ranked teams)

    Tough choice there

Jantz took a huge step forward against Baylor and hasn't regressed the past two games, we've just played two really good football teams that we couldn't compete with athletically. We knew they were going to blitz a lot and we know that's the way to shut down our QBs, but we didn't adjust our playcalling to make them pay for it. Jantz isn't going to be all conference or anything but there's no way to put all the blame on him.

The QB doesn't call "missed block on two"
The QB doesn't call "dropped pass on one"
The QB doesn't make a check to a hot route that includes "but make sure you don't turn around and see the ball to catch it"
The QB doesn't ask the offensive coordinator to go away from what's working.
The QB doesn't tell our defensive backs to let guys get open.
The QB doesn't tell our defensive line to miss tackles.
The QB didn't cause Knott to get injured.
The QB didn't cause Lenz to get injured.
I hear plenty of excuses here. At what point does the QB take a little responsibility for the offensive woes? Does the offense take any heat for hanging the defense out to dry by going 3 & out over and over so the defense spends 40 minutes on the field against no huddle up tempo offenses? For God's sake... the first INT he tossed in the Texas game he got pressured... it was understandable that he get rid of the ball. THROW THE BALL OUT OF BOUNDS!!!!!!!!!! You can't just close your eyes and chuck it up for grabs down the middle of the field like Jantz did.

Look... I think we can all agree that the ISU defense has been the strength of the team this year. The problem is the defense can only do so much and when the offense can't get a 1st down let alone string a few of them together the defense is going to get so fatigued that they won't be able to stop anyone. Texas had the ball for nearly 40 minutes last Saturday... how is the defense supposed to play their best when they don't get a chance to rest?

So you don't think as the offense sputtered last Saturday that maybe trying someone else at QB would have been a good idea? It was obvious Jantz was totally ineffective so why not try someone else? IMO it didn't make sense to keep sending a guy out there that was not performing.

So, correct me if I'm wrong. Are you saying that none of this was going on when JB was out there? Or are you saying that we were playing really good football and JB just screwed us out of games. You also have to remember that Lenz was injured in the KSU game and did not play at OSU. Also, JW was injured and did not play against KSU or OSU. So, two major offensive weapons were missing in JB's last two starts. So, he doesn't get the benefit of the doubt but Steele does??? Very interesting.

Weis and Co. like to switch things up like a box of chocolates. Don't know what you're going to get. Most of the KU fans have already moved on to basketball. Good thing because they won't get to see anything here. I like our chances. ISU wins this one 24 to 13. Could have been more but we took a knee on the last drive.

The list was "QB" not Steele or Jared. I was responding to the idea that 100% of the team's issues are with the QB position and that switching QBs would be a magical cure all. Or that 100% of the praise for a win or the blame for a loss is on the QB and no one else on the team.

Basically anybody who says "I can't wait for this kid to graduate" is a joke. None of our players are intentionally losing games or choosing not to play to the best of their abilities to spite the fans.
