    West Virginia Atmosphere

IF we were to lose Saturday, which I really hope wouldn't happen... what would the atmosphere at JTS be like against West Virginia, with a possible bowl game on the line? Take into consideration that a lot of students will be home on break. I personally have no idea what the attendance/noise would be like

Do students have to leave over breaks? We have season tickets and rearranged our families' t-giving schedule for this game. Staying > leaving.

Similar situation last year against Okie State. One win away from bowl eligibility, students home on break. Despite that, the atmosphere was incredible.

That being said, win or lose against Kansas, there will be a lot at stake against WVU. Better bowl, or going to a bowl at all.

Last year the game was on the Friday before break, right? I'd guess more students are likely to stick around an extra day than come back the day after Thanksgiving. That's not to say that I think the attendence is going to be awful or that it's a good excuse... just pointing out it isn't the same situation as OSU last year.

I'm leaving right after Thanksgiving dinner on Thursday to come up for the game. Parents, brother, sister-in-law and 2 friends are also joining me for the game. Should be a good time!

Yes, you are correct. My mistake. Still similar situations.

Think the student turnout is going to be hurting if we lose to Kansas.
West Virginia will likely be rolling into Ames as a 5-5 team that is on a 5 game losing streak. Doesn't really have the 'big game' feel to it even though there is so much on the line.

The atmosphere should be rocking. Big welcome for WVU to the Big 12.

If by similar you mean "totally different" then yes. Very similar.

Way to go! You're lucky your parents are fans, too. Way too many students will be home and mommy will have them bound and tied with her apron strings.

It'll be their 1st game since the Mizzou game in 2010. Also will be my brother's 1st football game ever here, so I'm excited to share it with them.
