Sounds like they've finally moved away from the truck based SUV, which I think is a good thing. The motor is the tried and true v6 tat Nissan/Infiniti has been using for a decade. The only thing I'd really wander about is the CRT transmission. My wife had one in a Rogue without any issues but you have to get use to them.
probably not as big but we bought a 2013 Acura RDX and we've been happy with it. Nice interior and a 280hp motor that gets the same fuel mileage s the 160hp Rogue. About the same price as a pathfinder.
170000 on my Pathfinder and still runs and drives like new. Know its not the new model, but Pathfinders have always been a very reliable quality product. If you like the look say its a safe bet. The cvt is different, my wife's winter car is the Juke and it has it, but now that we have gotten used to it, no "shifting" noises it is fine.
They even list it as a wagon now on Car and Driver. Manufacturers may as well just go back to the old Caprice Classic station wagons at this point. However, I am impressed that they have a standard towing capacity of 5,000 lbs. The Traverse is at 2,500 lbs (WTF).
Go look at / drive a Honda Pilot. I think you'll find that you will get more options standard and the resale cannot be beat on a Honda.
I agree with the Pilot. Everyone I now that has one, loves it. The only downside is that it's due for a refresh and the interior seems a little dated compared to sme others in the class. We tailgate with a 2005 with 130k miles and it's like brand new. Batteries, tires, and brakes. Our RDX is a lot nicer but the pilot is 8 years old.
