    Rodney Coe article

Recent article about Rodney Coe. Some of his quotes.

99.9 percent sure he will wind up at Iowa State

"With me playing defensive end now, I kind of want to go the Big 12, where they pass more than the Big Ten," Coe said. "I'd to play in a league that passes, where I can make a name at defensive end instead of playing against just running teams.

I still feel that he isn't 100% commited. Personally, it sounds like he is hoping for better offers.

Edwardsville product Coe may transfer to Iowa State

Do you feel that he isn't 100% committed because he clearly states that he is only 99.9%

Something tells me the staff may make this guy either be All In and like his attitude, or make him walk on. Hard to tell

This kid... yikes. With all the offers he had, and with all the issues Iowa's had with both running backs and recently the defensive line, the staff still pulled his offer. More power to Rhoads if he gets this guy to come in and change his attitude, but I'd think he's treading pretty lightly.

    Kid doesn't seem very bright.

Nice way to talk about a potential Cyclone. Oh wait--you're a Hawk fan.

    Paul Rhoads' players never quit.
    (They just disappear offseason)

You need to become more familiar with this guy's history before saying silly things like this.

SplitIdentity (SouthernHawk) isn't a Hawk fan?

    Re: Rodney Coe article

I'm assuming Wimberly and Coe want to play together. Does Coe have academic issues or is the staff just waiting on some other variable as to why Coe hasn't committed. I mean 99.9% committed would be just as committed as the rest of the young men who are on the commit list. What's the deal?

Also, are Wimberly and Coe going to be finished and ready to enroll in January?

So, you're saying that while he was trying to get back on Iowa's good side, it was a GOOD idea for him to post a pic of him holding guns on facebook? Or putting on a ton of weight and losing out on RB playing time at his community college, and starting a twitter war bashing Iowa (while still committed) because they supposedly wanted him to play DE?

Or that now he "kind of" wants to go to the Big 12 to make a name for himself? And that he's "only" 99% committed to ISU? What happens when another big school comes calling, would he all of the sudden "kind of" want to play in the Pac 12 because they pass even more than the Big 12? Come on man, review my post history, I don't bash ISU or the recruits, and I'm not bashing this guy. I had the same complaints about him when he was an Iowa recruit, and I've read similar complaints on here after he became a potential Cyclone.

I'm guessing that he isn't 100% because the staff hasn't decided if they want to take him or not.

Honestly, I agree with you. There's a reason that Coe is still a mystery. I am less than 99.9% sure that he will be at ISU.

I agree with this. His quote, "I would like to play in the Big 12" makes it seem like its not fully his decision if he will or not.

I am 100% sure that he can come to ISU if his grades are in order, but much less sure about his prospects of getting a scholly and playing for Paul Rhoads.

Agree with all of your comments with the exception on the 'holding guns'. Picture was not in some violent/gang-glorifying way. Total non-issue there.
Don't get the playing DE in a conference that passes more comment. Just seems to be a dig at Iowa. That, to me, is maybe more telling than a picture holding a handgun outside a garage in rural Iowa.
