    Today's basketball starting lineup

I'm hearing it will be this:

    Lucious
    McGee
    Clyburn
    Ejim
    Booker

Makes sense. Especially with Babb being out.

Ya I would expect Babb to be in for McGee once he is back

Nice...I'm kind of looking forward to seeing the new freshman guards for more minutes now that Babb is out.

Yeah Babb being out is going to be a blessing and it isn't really in disguise that much. He doesn't need minutes in these first games nearly as much as some of the guys that will be playing instead.

Agree. Give the guys enough time to start meshing, but I would not mind some extended minutes for Long and SDW in these early few games. We are going to need Long to get up to speed quickly with Bubu out.

Don't like how we don't have a true post presence starting. I look to see Booker and Percy getting roughly the same amount of minutes with Niang rotating in with Ejim...

We didn't have one last year until Percy started to ball. It will sort itself out. I am not worried about it, we got the Hoi at the helm.

“They're very, very hard to guard,” Notre Dame head coach Mike Brey said. “They're really good. And with Niang in the middle kind of wheeling and all those guys spreading you out, they're kind of a nightmare matchup. And they're men. They're really men.”

Not a bad unit. Percy as sixth man!

If this was 1992, I would be too. As it is, I was much more worried about not having a true pg last year, and CFH managed to scheme most of that issue away. If we can get good post defense and rebounding from the 5 stop, we are good to go.

I'm also really anxious to see Ejim play today. It's weak competition, but I want to see improvement from him on ball handling and passing. If he turns into a guy that can hit 35% from 3 and then take other posts off the dribble, he's going to be great.

I just can't wait to watch them all play!

We don't truly have a true post on our roster, so it's kinda hard to start one.

In reality, both Booker and Gibson are power forwards, not centers. Go look at the team picture on cyclones.com. Gibson and Niang are both the same height in that picture, yet Niang is listed as 6'7" and Gibson at 6'9". There's no way that Gibson is 6'9" if Niang is 6'7". No way. I'd bet that Gibson is also about 6'7" as well. He plays bigger than that, but he's still not truly a center.

We are VERY undersized as a team, but hopefully we can run and press other teams to death.

    Re: Today's basketball starting lineup

I'm most excited to see Lucious, Clyburn, and Niang play. However, I'm also curious to see Naz Long too. I just think he's going to be a good one for some reason? I can't really put my finger on it, but in his videos he just looks like a pretty aggresive player that is tough and won't back down.
