Good news on White. Believe that is a return visit for her. Heard she wants to be fairly close to home, and wants a good bball program.

USJN Battle at the Border features Alexis Hughes, Katelyn Loecker, Kindred Wesemann, Chatrice White, Sophie Cunningham, Jessica Shepard. - ESPNHS

Chatrice White (Shelby, Neb.), CSS Bison: White was consistent throughout the event and was without a doubt the best low-post presence in the gym all weekend long. At 6-4, she has the height and the size to make her presence felt on both ends. Right now, her upper-body strength isn't at a point where she can dominate the game offensively in traffic. That said, she finishes on both sides of the rim and is a good free-throw shooter. On the occasions when White didn't finish the play through contact with a layup, she did step to the line and make the ensuing free throws. She hasn't made a college decision, but rest assured that White has no shortage of suitors.

With November signing period fast approaching and four schollies available will we sign any one? White would be a nice player to get after some misses. It is a mystery just as Jensen came out of no where (other than an attendee of one of our camps). We have 1-2 guards we need bigs.

White is a 2014 recruit and still fairly early in the process.

She is and my post made it sound otherwise.

We need inside players, and particularly those that can play in Big 12 type competition. It is going to be hard to replace what we have to replace next year. Do we have anybody good that is coming in next year? We are going to need it!

Jordan Jensen is 6-3 and well-regarded. She tore her ACL this summer, so she'll only play in the latter part of the high school season if at all.

The two guards coming in next season (Jadda Buckley and Seanna Johnson) are both top-100 caliber. The future of the backcourt looks very bright.

Assuming no more 2013 commits (and I hope there's one or two more, but the early signing period starts in six days), we'll have Hallie, Baier, Ellis, and Jensen playing post in the 13-14 season. We can make that work, although ideally we'd get another post.

If we don't get a post in the early signing period, it wouldn't shock me if the coaches found a juco post to sign in the spring.

Re: WBB recruits visiting this weekend

One post we're keeping an eye on: Emily Potter, a 6'5" Canadian who is down to ISU and Utah (see below thread). I'm guessing the coaching staff is ready to offer another post a scholarship last-minute if Potter chooses Utah, but Potter would be a great get and would have a chance for minutes right away.

Re: WBB recruits visiting this weekend

Thanks for these posts, mred. I have been so busy the last 5 years, that all I can find time for is watching games. ISU women's basketball and men's are my favorite past-times besides fishing and reading. Volleyball is right behind. I hope Baier gets her health problems figured out. We could probably use her help already this year, and next year even more.

Don't think Baier would be much of a contributor this year with the depth we have at post. I've been wrong before, but believe she needs a year to bulk up. Honestly hope she gets a rare red shirt this year.

If she isn't healthy soon, with all the practice she's missed I'm not sure how you don't redshirt her.
