    talk of upsets

So last year heading into the OSU game every article you could find on the cyclones implied a major possibility of an upset over the #2 team. it was almost like everyone expected Isu to win that game even tho they had never beaten a top 5 team. OSU last year > OU this year so where is all the upset hype? Or are they saving it for WVU?

I'm not sure OSU was better than OU is. OU is a much more balanced team. They haven't lost to any team other than undefeated ones

    I'm on Twitter too: Tre4ISU

    Or so I have read.

Yeah, not sure what you are talking about. I think most expected a double digit loss to OSU last year. I know I sure did. Glad I was wrong!

I don't remember any hype last year either. In fact, that is the way I like it beings how I don't remember there being anybody giving us a chance before any of PR's perrenial upsets. The only one I remember a lot of people predicting was the TCU win this year and that was mainly because of the suspension of their quarterback the week of.

yes there were no talk about upset last year; there was quite an odd energy though before game; never felt that before and been goin to games for almost 20 years. in fact i remember everyone had a very apathatic attitude and was fully expecting a loss; and people were tailgaiting like none other before that game.

    Re: talk of upsets

OSU last year was good, but they had their weaknesses. Their D was not great, specifically their run D, but they always had enough offense so that opposing teams had to be one dimensional. They could then sit back in pass D the hole game, pin their ears back on the rush, and lived off of getting picks.

Iowa State defense stepped up and limited their O and as a result we were able to run on them pretty consistently.

OU is not the best team ever, but they don't have the glaring weaknesses either. They have really good talent from top to bottom, it's just a matter of whether they play like that or not.

I really don't think we had the mantle of "giant" killer going into that OSU game...

The big upsets have always been kind of out of left-field. I'd almost feel more confident about Saturday if we hadn't beat Baylor.

Crazy. I expected us to win by double digits, and I was sad I was wrong.

I don't remember much talk about it either, but I do remember walking into the stadium and having the feeling we were going to win.

    Re: talk of upsets

I don't think there was any hype but I believe there was a lot of optimism. For some reason I had a good feeling going into that game. I don't for this. But I didn't for TCU either.
