    Disney to acquire Lucasfilm

DISNEY TO ACQUIRE LUCASFILM LTD. | The Walt Disney Company

To be honest, it is in my opinion good for the franchises that George is stepping away. Not quite sure how to feel about their statement that they want to pump out a new movie "every 2 to 3 years". It seems like Disney/Pixar/Skywalker Sound/ILM have had a close relationship for years so not sure how much will change in regards to the studio using that technology.

    Also, $4.05B....

I wonder if they'll pick it up after the events of Return of the Jedi and go into Luke's rebuilding of the Jedi Order or if they'll start in the very early years of the Sith Empire????

Star Wars episode 7 in 2015? Wow. Never thought it'd happen.

Wonder if they'll draw on some of the book material that's out there, or go in a completely new direction.

I wonder if Harrison Ford can still play an old Han Solo?

We all saw how poorly people age in a galaxy far far away in a span of 20 years, so 5 years maybe equals 30 years over here?

Star Wars Clone Wars animated series is better than the recent films. I would think with more creativity and leadership, some quality and respectable live action films can be made.

If they put as much effort into it as the newer superhero movies (Avengers/Dark Knight) then there is SOOOO much potential for great movies

I almost answered that it is on Blu Ray, but then I realized how stupid that would have looked.

    Re: Disney to acquire Lucasfilm

Some of the Legacy of the Force material or Fate of the Jedi could get interesting and they are all about the right age for that. Or go back and do some from the Yuuzhan Vong invasion could be really good.
