    Great win, great four weeks

Just getting around to posting a congratulatory message. If this needs to go in some other thread, I apologize.

I admire the way this coaching staff has not lost their team, and kept their heads and hearts in this season.

We have all seen the movie before, after the 53 point loss at home to Texas, and the schedule that was right head...we have seen a lot of teams crush and just tank.

Not this year's team, and that has to be a credit to the coaches, and to the seniors.

I caught a few sideways glances at the sports bar on Saturday when I let out a yell when ISU tied the game...I just cannot help but admire watching growth, and seeing well deserving kids go out the way they did.

So my hat is off to the Cyclones.

Re: Great win, great four weeks

I think that's what's the most exciting thing about all of this. Most people expected them to fold up the tents after the Texas debacle. Unlike last year, they played out the schedule. You could see them getting better and then they took two steps back. Then the last four weeks gave us hope for the future. It should be a fun ride.

How many days until opening kickoff?

Well put Jon. This team has gone out there every week and busted their butts and never gave up and never backed down.

Re: Great win, great four weeks

It's been said so many times it's almost annoying...but it's true...

This team is easy to root for.

Especially following the effort we saw vs. OU. I think fans were ready to mail it in after the Texas game too, but showed up as one lance chance vs. OU. IMO, that and the effort vs. Mizzu put a lot of butts in the seats for K-State and Colorado and those 4 games retained countless tickets for '08.

I'm no far of moral victories anymore, but I did like our increased intensity and ability to correct mistakes against 2 top-ranked teams, then finally reaping the benefits against K-State and CU.

That was a monumental win. I just can't say how important that was for the future of this program...Keeler had a lot of things right in his column yesterday...of course I think they are right because I agree with him :)

They are going in the right direction.
