Re: $15 Windows 8 Upgrade Deal???????

I'm nervous as Windows 7 is more than enough for me... looks like 8 is more focused on tablet/mobile end users than PC

    I'm going to hold off

    Yes, the deal is real.

I'll be sticking with W7 though.

Sorry, this might be a dumb question, but would you be able to uninstall it if you don't like it? Or do you need the disc to do that??

Unless you have a touchscreen or tablet, I'd recommend you don't go the Windows 8 route.

I updated my laptop yesterday to Windows 8. It's going to take a few weeks to get use to it but I think it will be ok. One thing I really like is that it really starts fast.

I'm too used to using my mouse for everything and Windows 8 makes it a pain in the *** to use your mouse so I'll stick with 7 for a bit longer.

In the same boat here. I'll hold out for a bit to see how 8 pans out.

For those that have or will upgrade and want a traditional "Start menu"

Start8 for Windows® 8 - Bringing back the Windows Start menu
