    Wildcat?

Given the tenuous nature of our QB situation, is there any chance Messingham starts adding some wildcat/direct snap schemes to the offense? Or would this result in a fiery disaster? I would be curious at least to see something with Nealy and Woody in the backfield with Lenz running in motion. However, I'm not sure the Oline could sustain blocks well enough to make this work. Any wildcat experts out there? What kind of schemes/personal do you need to make this succeed?

    Re: Wildcat?

If we grade low as oline, we may be forced to roll out and pass. We appear to be grading much below 2.6-2.8. 2.0 is a C. Even wildcats need an oline.

Mess is a ******* idiot. Whatever makes the most sense, just do the opposite and thast what we will do. Can't wait for our 110 yards of total offense on Sat

The one constant through all the years, Ray, has been baseball. America has rolled by like an army of steamrollers. It has been erased like a blackboard, rebuilt and erased again. But baseball has marked the time. This field, this game: it's a part of our past, Ray. It reminds of us of all that once was good and it could be again. Oh... people will come Ray. People will most definitely come.

    Re: Wildcat?

What's the difference between Barnett or Jantz taking a direct snap and running a designed run instead of Woody or Shontrelle? Take out the QB and you know we won't throw it. If one of them could throw the ball well, it would be a cool trick play the opponent wouldn't see coming, but I doubt that is the case.

Don't see it working because our Oline has yet to block anyone.

    Re: Wildcat?

The most effective use of the Wildcat formation that I've ever seen was Nebraska against us a few years ago when they didn't have a healthy or trustworthy QB, so Burkhead took most of the snaps. However, he is a unique player.
