How do we cover Terrance Williams

Terrance Williams is leading the country in receiving with 21.6 yards per reception. We going to zone this guy because I don't think we can stick him 1 on 1. So much focus on their passing game you know they are going to try to run allot. How do we cover their receivers without giving up the ground game.

Based on that video, I'm going to say that actually covering him would be a good start. He didn't beat any of those DBs, they just gave him huge cushion.

If I was the D Coord and I am not, I would jam the WR's and play 2 deep with the safeties (much like the way Texas Tech played us and West Virginia). Don't let the WR's off the line and throw off their timing.

The great thing about Reeves is he rarely get's beat, his vertical jump makes up for height, and he times his breakup attempts very well.

He created allot of those cushions running his routes and he did outrun his receivers several times, and even when they were pretty tight on him he has excellent vertical spacing. We just have to stop this guy as he makes me real nervous. And even if they don't go to him he will be a huge decoy and draw double's from our secondary.

Excellent. I wasn't sure how Reeves could elevate. This will be important I think as Baylor will test him right away.

Yeah, they like to throw quick passes and disrupting timing may be the only thing to do.

Every team attempts to test Reeves...he passes the test every time. (Not saying he's perfect but he is a damn good DB)

Looks like he falls down on his own a lot.

Seriously, cover the receiver from the start and he may not throw as many to him.

I have no idea how to stop these guys. Yea we can try to press them, if we can. Hang two safeties deep every single play. Then they'll gash us for 390 yards rushing like last year.

He and tevin reese are so fast...
