    Re: Stadium renovation article

You guys notice that Ben Bruns is running this thing for Weitz... Kinda cool to have a die hard clone running the project.

EDIT: Ok, so now I read the article and it does mention that.

What will the new entrance and exterior fence look like?

    Re: Stadium renovation article

I noticed at the game on Saturday that there was the University's standard renovation signs up on the hill when you walk up to the stands. It had a nice rendering of what the west side would look like when completed. This was a different picture than those on cyclones.com, so hopefully they might have more of these in the future.

    Re: Stadium renovation article

JP stopped by our tailgate before the Kent State game and talked with us at length about these changes. Sounds really cool. The new concessions and restrooms will be built into the hillsides and give an exterior wall appearance. When finished with the bowl and the east side, he said there really won't even be a need for the fence. Not exactly sure how that will work - but in JP we trust.

Question however. I know that there was a ton of thought and obviously reasoning behind the decision. But why is this starting with the west side? Seems to me that both sides are pretty much mirrors of one another, save the press box. But the east side is 1000x more visible than the west side. And Ben states several times how much better it will "appear".

Seems to me they would put the best foot forward on the more visible side? At least regarding the new concessions and restrooms?

Ok - truth be told - my seats are on the east side.....

Honestly, i think they started with the west in order to take care of the boxes first. The luxory boxes are a huge money maker, so they probably wanted to spruce up that area first.

$10 says they will not have the spring game there. Or they will not let you anywhere near the west side.
