Lucious picked at No. 40 PG by CBS Sports

I believe they will be rating the other positions in coming days too.....

CBSSports.com Top 50 point guards - NCAA Division I Mens Basketball - CBSSports.com News, Scores, Stats, Schedule and RPI Rankings

From my count, only 4 PG's in Big 12 rated ahead of him.

I bet he ranks better at the end of the year. It's hard to quantify what a year off will do for him, so they're probably judging him by how he was the last time he played at Michigan St..

Smart at 5 seems kind of high. I know he's really talented but he's still a freshman and PG isn't even his natural position.

Missouri is going to be fun to watch again this year. They have two point guards listed in top 26. It will be interesting to see what they can do in SEC, imo.

Agreed. Pierre Jackson (7) is surely a better player than Smart at this point. And I'd still rather have a senior Elijah Johnson (14) than freshman Smart, if we're just talking one season.

If Lucious is a top 40 pg..... this team could do pretty well and sniff the NCAAs again!.

Slap in the face for K-Lu, he's better than that!

"I hope to coach here until I retire," Hoiberg said.

Then he should have shot better than 39-125 (31% FG%) at Michigan State. If he had been getting slapped in the face, though, it would at least explain his poor shooting.
