Nobody is mentioning this about the end of the Colorado game

Everybody is talking about the clock situation and the last 2 FG attempts. I just watched the replay on my DVR twice and what nobody has mentioned is that 2 plays before the pass to the outside where we tackled the guy in bounds causing the whole strange ending, there was ANOTHER pass to the outside (same side of the field) and we CLEARLY tackled the guy in bounds, but the refs ruled him out unbelievably and stopped the clock. That allowed them to run the last two plays and subsequently the whole strange ending we witnessed.

Check it out if you don't believe me. We tackled the guy in bounds and the clock should have never been stopped. It could have and possibly should have ended the game right there.

Let's just all say the Refs sucked on all sides of the ball that day and move on :)

Wow, I had forgotten about that. It sure looked like his knee came down in bounds. +rep for you if I have any left.

That tackle was right in front of our section and nobody could figure out what the ref was doing, you could tell he was in bounds watching it live.

Re: Nobody is mentioning this about the end of the Colorado game

I saw it on the live broadcast and totally went Chizik on the refs through my TV. My wife was feeding off my energy so she started pacing the living room and clapping. It's okay, it's the first ISU game she's seen this year and she didn't know we don't do that anymore.

Re: Nobody is mentioning this about the end of the Colorado game

Hey if you have it on DVR check the very end of the game. It looked like one of the CU players was going to hit the referee when he said the game was over, I think it was #70.

I'm working on encoding it as we speak. Hopefully I'll have a torrent up later tonight.

They stopped the clock to reset the chains on a first down.

Re: Nobody is mentioning this about the end of the Colorado game

I don't feel sorry for CU at all. They could have just ran their kicking team on the field and went for the FG instead of running that last play that netted nothing. Hawkins got greedy and it cost him.
