Talking STARTING QB for cowboys game

I have watched all of the games over again and it seems like Jantz is much better at moving east and west AND picking up yards. I don't see Barnett..but only running up the middle. I really think that we start Jantz for the OK state game. I wanted to see what ya'll think about the starting QB. Is it me...or is that a weak point for us. We have DEFENSE!! We have a running game....we just need to choose a good leader. I feel JANTZ is ready to start.

Re: STARTING QB for cowboys game

Great post. This is something that no one on here has really ever talked about...especially this season. Unfortunately, I haven't been able to make it to a game this season, so I feel like my opinion would be useless. How about the rest of you, what does everyone else think about the quarterbacks?

To the OP, maybe you should add a poll to this thread. I don't think anyone has done that either in regards to who everyone thinks should be qb.

230 yards is greater than 189 yards.

Re: STARTING QB for cowboys game

Yes. Ball protection does trump all. And there is a clear difference which QB has been better at the run option in the zone read, and unfortunately it's not Steele. If we could just put Jared's mind into Steele's body...

Might as well make it a guessing game for the apposing team every week so they have to prepare for two QB's instead of just one so the defenses aren't as prepared.

Re: STARTING QB for cowboys game

Is there some question about who our QB should be? Shouldn't this have it's own thread?

Remember, you're unique. Just like everyone else.

Until further notice, the Big 12 tournament is best. There's an experience here. Not just the teams -- the feel, the vibe, the establishments. Iowa State not only won the pregame -- filling the nearby Power & Light District -- it won the whole damn scene.

I'm sorry i feel like we've given Steele ample opportunities and he continues to disappoint. The offense just responds to Barnett better

Yes, 3-1 as a starter this season, with 66.9% completions is SO disappointing, isn't it?
