I love ISU, but we also kept the Davis brothers eligible here somehow.

I'm surprised they even met entry requirements. But getting back to THE Ohio State, sadly, I'm sure there are a lot of MBB and Football players with the same sentiment. But it's gonna be fun to watch the retweets and responses to this one.

I had English 104 with Troy Davis when I was in school. Several times I ended up in small groups with him where we read and discussed our papers with each other before turning them into the professor. It's hard to describe how "challenged" he was when it came to speaking and writing the English language. Yet, his papers would arrive neatly typed in a plastic binder thingy, absent of any spelling/grammar errors, and expertly written to the exact specifications laid out by the professor.

that's an amazing first-hand testimony; thanks for sharing. It would be nice it that type of *service* was available to all students.

I have a very similar story:
I was in a sociology class, and was put into groups of three for a project. My two partners were Reggie George (remember him?)and DeAndre Jackson. Midterms came out, and DeAndre brought up getting the notice. He said how'd you do while looking at me. I said a D in physics. He asked the same thing to Reggie, and he said 2 C-'s and an F. Reggie asked how DeAndre did and he said, F's, six F's while laughing. They high fived while I sat there somewhat stunned.

One of my best friends walked on at ISU about 8 years ago. He is dyslexic and struggles with most everything written. The amount of help available to those kids is outstanding. Hell sometimes it's not help, its just doing it for you. But if athletes take advantage of the resources available, there should be no reason they can't pass any class.
