    Season stats

    Sorry, I'm a nerd.....

We have 3 yards of offense more than our opponents. we are +102 in rushing and -99 in passing. up 114-108 in first downs.

nearly 6 minutes per game less than our opponents in time of possession.

39% on 3rd down conversions, which isnt too bad. our opponents are only at 34%. thats including today! remember when that number was always around 50% every year? i love having a defensive minded head coach!

we have only allowed 9 sacks? can that be right? thats actually pretty impressive!

we have only given up 11 touchdowns!!! thats awesome!!

jantz hasnt played the last 2 games and is still 2nd on the team in rushing attempts (only 4 behing shontrelle). thats a gross stat!!

JB has only completed 48.5% of his passes this year. unacceptable for a big 12 team.

aaron horne has 24 catches to lead the team, and seems to be the only consistent WR this year.

lenz and brun have 4 tds each. brun is a nice target that i would like to see ALOT more of. JB seems to use the TE more than Jantz.

albert gary has just 5 catches all year. whats up with him?

ISU has 9 ints this year and averages just under 25 yards per int return. we are just 2 ints behind last year

we only avg 16.2 yards per kick return... a while back someone asked if moving the kickoff up has affected us. yes it has!

edwin arceo has miised more XPs than he has FGs. his FGs misses were from 49 and 57 yds

knoww and klein are both on pace to reach triple digits in tackles again. knott has 57 and klein has 50. washington is 3rd on the team with 36.

our D has 13 sacks on the year. good number for this point in the season. only had 17 last year and 11 the year before... yes, 11 ewww!! we have 36 tackles for loss. 56 last year and 54 the year before.

please feel free to add any stats that you would like

...and the good defense. How can both sides of the ball be so different. Also, those defensive stats would look a lot better if the offense would keep them off the field at least a little.

48.5% doesn't even cut it in FCS football, much less the conference.

I don't do signatures. Blondes, brunettes, and red heads are a different story.

exactly!! as far as yards, i'm sure our D is not too impressive (how can it be when they are ALWAYS on the field), BUT we are giving up less than 18 points per game. when was the last time we had a D that gave up less than 20 per game?

Yep, but I'd probably put personnel at the top of the list. There's at least three potential NFL'ers on defense and probably zero on offense.

How good are tcu and ksu defensively in the big 12? Both top 4? Hoping that completion % goes up a lot in the next 2 weeks against a couple of the softer defense's in the conference

Statistically, KSU was pretty soft against the pass coming into our game. Teams were completing something like 64% of passes against them, and they ranked in the 70s(?) in pass eff. defense as well. So I guess I'm less than optimistic that we'll have huge passing games against the rest of the teams on our schedule.

    Re: Season stats

Which would you rather have though, a guy who completes two-thirds of his passes, but throws two int's per game, or a guy who completes half of his, but only throws one int and is a much better leader
