    Hillside seating flaw

Today represents a major flaw to the amount of hillside seats Jack Trice has. Wet weather will make sitting on the grass and mud miserable.

    Re: Hillside seating flaw

With the amount of tickets sold for the hills, sitting wouldn't be an option if you want to see anything anyway.

    Re: Hillside seating flaw

The flaw is that there are no stands there.

    Re: Hillside seating flaw

And besides more seating, this is precisely why we want the SEZ built. Even if they just built the lower bowl it would eliminate the need for hillside seating.

isn't is way more affordable to sit on the hillside than in a real seat?

    Re: Hillside seating flaw

And aren't the hillsides favored by families so the kids can experience ISU gameday and still run around a little?

    Re: Hillside seating flaw

Everyone says this. There isn't room in stand area to run around. Run around area is behind sez stands. Will still be there when we bowl in. Need the bowl today. We have dedicated fans on those hills. Watchin lots of other games in rain that have big crowd dropoffs....not us.

    Re: Hillside seating flaw

If they bowl in the SEZ, they need to add another jumbotron on the south. All the families with Jr. Cyclone members would be forced to use the north hills--not enough space to accommodate all of us, unfortunately. We sit on the south so you at least have the hope of watching on the big screen. I wouldn't come to a game to let my kids run around behind the SEZ where I have no hope of seeing anything. Yes, my kids may not sit still but they aren't old enough to run around unsupervised.

We make football games a family affair. We have brought all our kids starting at age 4 mo. I know many people leave their kids at home on game days, but I can't afford a donation, parking, seated tickets and babysitter for that many games. Hillside option is affordable for our family.

I will say that we skipped the game today mainly because of muddy hillsides (we have seen people fall down on the hills and at 20 wks pregnant I don't need to fall on my ***. Hubby is representing the family there today.

    Re: Hillside seating flaw

Before we can even think about the south bowl project we have to have enough money to pay for it and with the big 12's cheapest fan base, it just isnt feasible.

Besides our football stadium is unique, there is not another stadium built like ours in the conference so lets just enjoy our state of the art facility and winning.

You mean except for Mountaineer Field, which looks EXACTLY LIKE JACK TRICE STADIUM? Wow, you really tried hard on that post.

Mind = blown. Can't believe I've never recognized this possibility before!
