    TCU thugs of the B12?

I just rewatched the TCU game and I can't believe how often they had late hits or held our players down so that they could keep talking smack into their face (especially Shontrelle for some reason). I noticed it during the game, but noticed it even more during the rewatch. Combine that with the fact that their fans threw bottle and food at our players and coaches, and I have to wonder: is TCU going to be the Oakland Raiders of the Big 12? I've never had any problem with TCU, and I don't want to. But if this is what they are about, I'm going to hate them.

I think currently they are an entitled fan base who is use to winning all the time and now that they might lose 3-5 games a year, they are in for a wake up call.

In terms of players attitudes and actions, I don't think they are anywhere near as bad as Nebraska under Bo Pelini, but Nebraska isn't in the Big 12 anymore, so maybe...? I don't know.

That's a reputation you develop over time. If they are or aren't, we don't know yet.

TCU is a janky *** program man. Have you not noticed the twenty-some drug related arrests in the last 12 months?

I think that post nails it. Its one thing to put up great records in a small conference but when you join the Big 12 you play tough teams every week and you lose games. Utah also found that out when they joined the Pac 12 last year.

I loved all the ridiculous streaks and records they kept talking about. It just isn't impressive at all when you are talking to a team who plays a top 5 schedule year in and year out. Now that you're in a real conference, your records from before are even more irrelevant than they were before.

Re: TCU thugs of the B12?

    Thugs? No. Punks? Yes.

Thugs sort of implies to me they can back it up and they were not a physical team and they had guys getting up slow and hurt all game long.

A punk to me is like a nuisance, a bee buzzing around your head. Keep and eye on it cuz it might sting you but as long as your big stick is handy, no worries.

My favorite was the O-Lineman who takes a db and drives him out of bounds and into the retaining wall. Do that to a D-lineman and then we will be impressed. And by the way nice job taking your team out of scoring position.

Re: TCU thugs of the B12?

Are we an entitled fanbase? Probably so. I will admit that our players talk some trash, but there is nothing dirty about that.

As for our schedules in the past, we still played better teams than most others. In 2009 we beat more ranked teams than UT did, but they ended up in the MNC instead of us. In 2010 we beat the #5 team TWICE.

Ever notice how after we beat Utah everyone questioned their credibility yet when Georgia gets blown it it was just a good SEC team that beat them? Yeah no bias there...
