    New late game strategy

Similar to the way coaches call timeouts way late in the NFL did CU inadvertantly start a new strategy with taking a 5 yd penalty to stop the clock? I mean you wouldn't always want to get set back 5 yds but if it was that or not even get a kick off...

I remember the announcers were just going on about how silly that last pass was because there was no way they had enough time to set up for a kick.

I don't think that this strategy will really catch on considering it didn't work out too well for CU.

    Re: New late game strategy

Do you really think they did it on purpose??? You think that Hawkins was able to get his longsnapper and tell him to snap it illegally before the ball is blown ready for play and still have enough time to actually do it? I just figure that the snapper was trying to go too fast and didn't think to wait for the ref to blow the whistle. Not trying to sound like a jerk, just the thought never even crossed my mind.

I will admit that it's a strategy I've used in Madden however.
