Vitale picks Cyclones in top 40

    Dick Vitale's Preseason Top 40 for 2012-13 - ESPN

ranked 34th and 5th in the big 12...pretty similar to how we ended last year..

Don't think Vitale is very popular on here but this might change your opinions.

Without looking at the list I am guessing the top 25 is made up of every Big East team, every ACC team and Kansas.

Prepare to be surprised. Here's a preview: His Duke is only #11.

Thats obviously a typo. He must have accidentally clicked the 1 key twice.

He got pretty hard over Murray State last year. Surprised he doesn't have them in the top 5.

Doesn't change my opinion of him. I think that he is a caricature. Putting ISU in his top 40 doesn't change the fact that it pains me to listen to his lame over used phrases while I am trying to watch a game. I still think he is an idiot Duke/ACC homer but sometimes he has to put a little dose of reality into his projections to hang on to his job.

he chose 6 big12 teams, which is the highest percentage of any conference. vitale is so biased towards the big12, its getting old.

I still don't like Dick (actually I do, but typing that could be misconstrued).

Dick is past his prime, but has been great for college basketball. Nobody loves the game more. I defend him in every thread because it seems I'm the only Vitale fan.

Heard about this exchange many times. This is the first time to view it. Cool stuff. Vintage stuff. Johnny put us on the map. We then had a few missteps. But we're back. I shouldn't say it though. But we're back, Baby!

I tend to agree, he clearly loves this game.

I don't do signatures. Blondes, brunettes, and red heads are a different story.
