    Pile on Irving

This probably doesn't need its own thread, but I was watching yesterday's highlights again this morning, and it brought a big smile to my face to see the huge pile that developed on Irving after he had his pick-6. The team was so happy for him. In my opinion, it speaks to the coaches and how they've been waiting for David to start realizing his potential. I'm sure that rubs off on the rest of the team, so when he makes a huge play like that, there's a big reaction from everyone. I love it.

That play was exactly what many had hoped he could do. It was awesome

Things like this really show the team chemistry. That defense is like a huge brotherhood. They all push each other and its maximizing thier potential. I think most of the individuals are playing well above their skill level purely due to intagibles.

    Re: Pile on Irving

I thought the pile on was awesome, but I don't know how it wasn't flagged for excessive celebration.

Maria Sharapova: Don't you beat up other guys for a living? I don't know how to answer this.

I don't think it matters when you are on your own sideline.

    Re: Pile on Irving

It waa awesome but I bet they would've done the same thing for anyone who makes that play. I don't think the fact that it was Irving had much if anything to do with the celebration.

When he made that play, my very first thought was, "Please make this the light comes on moment".

    Re: Pile on Irving

I loved how the commentators liked the celebration, pretty sure they said this is what college football is all about. Props to Irving on the play.

    Re: Pile on Irving

I think I had premonition right before that play. As TCU was coming to the line I said to myself "A turnover is needed right here to help increase the lead to 2 possessions." Then I saw Irving was at DE and I said to myself "Please use your height and knock down a pass". Looks like both my thoughts came to fruition.

    Re: Pile on Irving

It looked like he took like 100 steps within the first five yards after the pick....it took awhile for the big diesel to get going, but once he started it would have taken the whole offensive line to stop him from getting that touchdown. He isn't built like Big Play, but it reminded me of what we used to have on D-line a few years ago....it was awesome.

    Re: Pile on Irving

I noticed the start of the pile, but then I was distracted by the TCU dance team.

    What an improvement over A&M.
