(Plus, I am not sure how many minutes will be available for Naz this year, Lucious and McGee are going to play PG a lot. His experience could be limited.)
I don't see the downside of having Jones visit and make his case for him fixing his grade issues. If Fred and Staff are convinced he has refocused and extend him a scholarship it is a win win for the program and him.
It's been written but I trust Fred's decision either way.

He averaged a team-high 13 points per game last season, when the Trojans finished 6-26.
Perhaps CFH see's something we don't.

Hes more talented than Bubu. Maybe Fred can help his shooting.

Obviously, if he was the lone threat, teams could gameplan to stop him. I'm excited to have him visit, and I will be if Fred offers.

It's all about adding talent. He and Morris along with SDW and Thomas would make for a good back court for years to come, throw in Naz and you have 5 solid guards that can play. Obviously I'd love to add another big man coming out of high school.

Re: RECRUITING: Potential transfer visiting next week

He's extremely talented. His downside is obviously his academic issues and his size but to be ranked as high as he was coming out of high schools at 5'7 he must have some serious skills. I think it's pretty arrogant to say you don't want him just because his team didn't have success. He wouldn't have to be "the guy" at Iowa State and therefore his shooting percentage should improve and his assists also. He might even average less points but we don't need him to score 15 ppg.

Lots of good players play on bad teams. Craig brackins anyone?

Re: RECRUITING: Potential transfer visiting next week

A couple other points I don't think anyone has made.

I think he could also be a great benefit in practice if the other team has a short quick guard he'll be able to simulate him on the scout team.

The days of recruiting by the promise of playing time looks to over for basketball. A good thing. Guys who are willing to come off the bench and be role players are also needed. If he's willing to do that bring him on.

I'll bet he's thinking - Hey - our head coach has played and coached and scouted talent at a level that at BEST 1 or 2 guys on an anonymous chatboard have... MAYBE he knows a little about what he wants to do?

Like I said, my main concern would be the academics. It seems Fred has made major strides in that area too.....especially when compared to the Wayne Morgan days.

We will just have to see what happens.
It appears as though you are INCORRECT about USC:

As far as depth goes though, the combination of White, Woodbury, Olaseni, Basabe, and Uthoff is much better than Niang, Ejim, Edozie, Gibson. Not because of the top 2, but because of the next 2 or 3. -DeanVogs

I too, think he will come on board.

So, how does the scholarship situation work out with this?
