One of you Twins fans owes me a house.

With one game left the Royals are gonna finish at least six games up on the Twins. I believe the bet was "if the Royals finish in front of the Twins, I will give you my house"

Stand up and take your medicine.

Also this is what my life as a Royals fan has been reduced too.

The one constant through all the years, Ray, has been baseball. America has rolled by like an army of steamrollers. It has been erased like a blackboard, rebuilt and erased again. But baseball has marked the time. This field, this game: it's a part of our past, Ray. It reminds of us of all that once was good and it could be again. Oh... people will come Ray. People will most definitely come.

Cheer up. You get to see Jeff Francoeur patrol right field for one more year.

That and watch Kevin Seitzer screw up more hitters. Dayton Moore has all the talent in the world, and no idea how to put it together.

damn i wish i could have grown up in any other sports town besides kansas city. ive been cheering for pure suckatude since 92'. send me back to the 80s and i'm totally cool! but the royals and chiefs blow hard, and i will continue to cheer for them which will eventually be my demise.

Trust me...if people really wanted a DH that badly, General Manager Dayton Moore would have traded him for a cost controlled #2 starter by now.

At least you have the satisfaction of knowing that when you had your chance to win it all, you did it. (1985)

Buffalo Bills fans have their four great Super Bowl teams in a row to remember. Each one lost the Super Bowl.
Utah Jazz has two great basketball teams make it to the finals, and would have gotten rings against anyone other than MJ.

And then you have Cleveland. Yeah.

But I'll admit, being a KC fan must suck something awful.

That'd be me. I'll assign the title/deed and accompanying mortgage payment to you if you really want them! Keep in mind, I bought my house in 2006.

Here it is - Zillow is a little off (4 beds, not 3, etc.), but you get the idea.

As a long-time KC fan, some of my fondest family memories happened at Royals games. - What is hard to swallow is the way things have been run by Glass.

the Chiefs, as well, that is a different story. The great players and teams we have had over the last couple decades.....Playoffs, after playoffs, after playoffs, to have great teams and whiff it in the Playoffs.

    Still miss the Kings....

Who was the Twins fan that said they'd rather have Jamey Carroll than Alcides Escobar?

At least with KC it's all upside. Here in Dallas you expect the Rangers to stay on top and they sputter. You expect the Mavs to make somewhat of a repeat run and they sputter. You expect the Cows to put up some sort of game and the best they can do is equal the Packers' record so far this year.

Remember, you're unique. Just like everyone else.

Re: One of you Twins fans owes me a house.

I sadly have not been following baseball very much lately.. considering I am a twins and cubs fan.. yes i know interesting combo.. but a depressing one at that lately..

Iowa State: Anyone who's a true college basketball fan needs to see a game at Hilton Coliseum. Nice is in the DNA of Iowans and the fans here are particularly gracious -- even when the home team loses but gives a great effort, they are appreciative.

ESPN.com picked Hilton Coliseum as the "Hot Arena" in the Big 12...coaches in the league noted that, "regardless of talent, the Cyclones have a home court like no other."
