Four turnovers a game is not going to cut it.

That goes for the whole offense. Those aren't all completely on Steele, but they don't reflect well on him, either.

First thoughts based on the title of the article: While Steele obviously didn't have a great game, shouldn't we be having an OC competition dominating the TCU week?

I think it would make a nice reality TV show.

1 or 2 of those turnovers were Steele's fault. 1 was of desperation, and the other was a great hit by the defender. Still not sure about that awful lob throw/wrong route by the receiver. Some of the blame goes to Steele, but I'd put more on the O-line.

If our QB is going to run the ball 19 times again this week, mostly between the tackles, then I would like to throw Jeff Woody's name into the QB competition.

I am just happy CPR is willing to revisit the decision. If SJ holds onto the starting job, so be it, I trust CPR. But I personally think we should change while there is still a chance to avoid another 0-4 conference start.

Yeah, hard decison. Maybe I read into the press conference today wrong but it sounds like Steele practices better, hence that is why he starts. Hard to bench a guy that is better in practice and like you say is 3-1. At the same time, he really did not play well the other night. If Barnett comes in and does what he did against OU or Rutgers...then what. You throw Steele back in there? Seems like that could be a good way to really put the offense in a bad postion and then you got whoever is playing looking over their shoulder, afradi to make a mistake, and that is a reciepe for disater. It isn't like Tecmo Bowl where you take Bernie Kosar out after a pick when his conditon is "bad", put in Mike Pagel until he throws a pick and his condition goes from "excellent" to "good" and then put Kosar back in. But that is why PR gets paid a ton. Will be interesting to see.

If I were giving Steele his own record, he's 2-2. I hate to pile on him because I do feel for him but at the same time I have to think about the rest of this team. He is our best chance to have a huge night in a positive fashion. He's also the opposite. Do we need a huge night from that position against TCU? I don't really think so.

This. Need to be creative and stop overusing the read option.

Totally agree... the scheme, the line, the receivers... say JB comes in, gets wrecked just as bad or even worse... what then? just keep going down the line? doesnt matter whos in the game, blocking like that is gonna make anybody look bad, yes he made some real bad decisions, but holy crap what do you do when your line is getting blown past 9 out of every 10 plays?
