    Players last night

Last night I was walking around Freddy Court after hanging out with some friends. While walking back to my place I happened to have passed a few football players walking in the other direction. Thought I'd give a friendly "hi, how's it going?" and none of them looked up. They were in a group of 3, none of them would look up, just kept walking looking at their feet not even talking to each other. Couldn't tell you which players they were since I didn't get a good look at their faces but part of me was at least glad that they were taking the loss hard, of course that's assuming that was the reason. Just thought I'd pass along to fellow fanatics who might find that interesting as well.

    Re: Players last night

They were probably baseball players that just realized ISU didn't have a baseball team anymore.

Give the guy a break. At least it appears they took the loss to heart.

    Re: Players last night

Last night I was walking around the student lots, you know, just hanging out with friends after the game. I happened to notice 54,000 ISU fans leaving the stadium with their heads down. I tried to say a friendly "hi, how's it going" to quite a few of them, but most of them just kept their head down and kept walking to their cars. I guess it is good that our fanbase is upset about this loss. Just thought I would let you guys know what I saw.

Something must seriously be lacking in your life when you experience schadenfreude for Iowa State student-athletes after they lose a football game.

Weird, I was with two football buddies and we were walking by some guys breathing heavy and staring at us so we just looked down at our feet as we walked by them to keep anything from getting awkward.

They were trying not to step on the sidewalk cracks. You saying something jinxed it.

Says "Red Three" of the "Cyclone Fanatic Rebel Alliance" squadron

“I’m just glad I have Homan as my bodyguard,” Eustachy joked. “If I ever make it real big and get to drive a limo everyday, he’ll be driving it. I thought he came off the bench like somebody was stealing his cow or something.”
