    Running game

We have a huge problem when Kantz has 19 carries for 14 yards. White has 9 carries for 57, SJ has 9 for 44 and Woody has 1 for 1. So, the QB has the same number of carries as all three backs combined. If Kantz wants to play running back, have him try out. OTHERWISE, GIVE THE BACKS THE FREAKING BALL SINCE YOU HAVE NO CLUE ON THE ZONE READ. Maybe time to stop running than stupid play and just run the ball.

    Re: Running game

The RB's are our clear strength on offense, and the zone read has been read as far as I'm concerned. I don't mind throwing that at them four or five times a game, but when that seems to be your sole running play, it's a problem. I'd like to see a more traditional running attack, with the pass used to keep them honest, and to burn them when they start stacking the box.

Its clear who has no clue and its you. Sacks are included in that.

Also, does Jantz not get credit for making the right read that lead to white and Johnson's 101 yards?

You act like the line was opening up huge holes and Jantz was missing them

I know sacks count. I also know that 19 carries for our backs is unacceptable. Thanks, coach 85. You must be one of those that go get drunk during tailgating and don't care that we continue to struggle to win games.

I get absolutely ****-faced tailgating and still care why our team struggles. It's not like you can only choose to care or choose to get drunk.

You will be hard pressed to find a fan who is as emotionally invested in a game as I. Quit being a child.

19 carries for our backs is unacceptable....talk to the OC about it. The reads where actually really good yesterday all things considered. The line wasn't opening holes and they didn't sustain blocks.

Best example. 4th and 1/2 yard. Woody comes in. GREAT. We are set up in pistol, than we move him next to Jantz. Read option with Woody? And not an up the middle read option, but an off tackle. I love me some Jeff Woody but running him off tackle is dumb, Jantz makes the right read and barely gets 1/2 yard for the first down. Now you look at it and say, "jeez we only got 1/2 a yard!" I look at it and say, " what the hell were we doing running a read option off tackle with Jeff Woody?"

    To each their own.

    Re: Running game

Also, we had 3 runs for 71 yards. The other 35 carries? 45 yards or 1.28 ypc.

We were not prepared yesterday and we didn't make adjustments to their defense. It didn't matter who ran the zone read yesterday in my opinion.

    Re: Running game

Barnett (and even Richardson) just run the zone read so much better than Jantz. ISU shouldn't run it if Jantz is going to play. You can tell from the body language of the other players out there that they do not believe in him as the starting QB.
