First thing I do when someone points a gun at me mistakenly is charge at them brandishing what appears to be a weapon.

Re: Connecticut man kills masked burglar. Turns out it was his son

Get ready cuz I'm betting with the gun law that was passed in Iowa a few years ago we will have our own shooting tragedies soon enough. IMO, there are way too many people buying guns that have never shot and killed ANYTHING and have no idea what they are getting into.

I watched a guy by a gun at Gander Mt in CR last year and he picked it up like it was a dead snake. I hope he never figures out how to load it cuz he will probably be the one ending up getting shot.

The fact that you can get a carry permit and NEVER have to fire a gun is crazy.

And don't assume I"m anti guns cuz I'm not (I own 10 of them).

So it's unclear, the son was in fact trying to rob this house?

That's the hard part. No one will probably know what he was doing.

I feel less sympathetic for the boy if you're robbing your Aunt, but still very sad for the father.

I don't know what you did as a kid, but one of the most fun things we did in our neighborhood was flashlight tag. Wear all black and hide, the person who was "it" only had to flash light on you and you were out... Glad I didnt get shot!

Sad story, but something doesn't add up here. If you turn around and see your dad pointing a gun at you, why would you charge at him with something instead of say "Dad, it's me, don't shoot." Doesn't make sense.

Unfortunately, we only have one side of the story to hear now...
