Is that suprising? It is like the New England Patriots against Ames High, we all know what the outcome is going to be.

    Good job clones.

Iowa State: Anyone who's a true college basketball fan needs to see a game at Hilton Coliseum. Nice is in the DNA of Iowans and the fans here are particularly gracious -- even when the home team loses but gives a great effort, they are appreciative.

ESPN.com picked Hilton Coliseum as the "Hot Arena" in the Big 12...coaches in the league noted that, "regardless of talent, the Cyclones have a home court like no other."

NIU isn't a terrible wrestling team. They had 2 ranked wrestlers.

NIU is not a good wrestling team. They're decent, but they aren't "good" by any means. After Rider, they could arguably be the worst we face in Duals this year.

    Re: Cyclones Win!!

i think we're solid at all but 2, 2 1/2 positions this year. And we were right about Reader. A pinning machine - you can just tell he's got the strength and the leverage, and likes working on the mat. Cyler hasn't changed either - likes to work from his feet with energy and get his points with takedowns. Really quick for his weight, being a class up from what he wrestled last year.

I'll take it. 39-4, nothing to be too upset about.

    Re: Cyclones Win!!

After watching Reader work tonight I'm not afraid to say that I have a "man" crush on him already. I felt sorry for his opponent ... that guy is going to have some sore shoulders after the way Reader worked his arms tonight. To get the pin the way he did was outstanding.

Big props to BIG Z as well ... took that tub of weight he was working against and pinned him.

    Re: Cyclones Win!!

Hey guys, I wrote a weight by weight breakdown of the meet tonight. If you're interested, check it out, and let me know what I should look for/pay attention to next home meet. Too bad that it's a month away...

Anyone think the Minny meet will be televised? ::praying::

Not real surprising no... but no one was talking about it at the time, I didn't know if anyone was paying any attention I just thought I'd post the final.

    Re: Cyclones Win!!

Any count on attendence last night. I thought the place was pretty full for the opening match / week night / no name opponent. I remember plenty of times going and never being that many people. Also, is that a first, that the house lights are real low. I always seem to remember it being real bright.

    Re: Cyclones Win!!

It's not a first, but they don't do it often. I think they did it last time Iowa came to town, but... it's kinda hard to remember.

There was just north of 3K in attendence last night.
