Wow, that's a disparity. I would love to see the Cubs' score if Harry Caray was still announcing.

I imagine if they did a similar study of radio teams, the numbers would be higher across the board.

    Hank Harelson is TERRIBLE.

The one constant through all the years, Ray, has been baseball. America has rolled by like an army of steamrollers. It has been erased like a blackboard, rebuilt and erased again. But baseball has marked the time. This field, this game: it's a part of our past, Ray. It reminds of us of all that once was good and it could be again. Oh... people will come Ray. People will most definitely come.

Re: WSJ Study -- the most biased MLB TV broadcast teams

Why would anyone care - it's a home team broadcast, they're supposed to be biased towards the team they are covering. Except Hawk Harrelson - that guy is a doosher.

I personally love Hawk. If I weren't a White Sox fan I'm sure I'd hate him though. Go, Go White Sox!

Re: WSJ Study -- the most biased MLB TV broadcast teams

I personally don't like homer broadcasts. People like Hawk are terrible because they never give credit where credit is due. I love listening to a game that Michael Kay or Vin Scully is doing. The announcing, no matter the format (whether TV, radio, etc.) is quality and they handle it professionally. John Walters is pretty good at it most of the time and his broadcasts are very enjoyable to listen to.

Re: WSJ Study -- the most biased MLB TV broadcast teams

If you're going to do a study on bias in MLB announcing, why not show how much air time ESPN gives to NY, Boston, Baltimore, etc, etc? That would be far more interesting.

Re: WSJ Study -- the most biased MLB TV broadcast teams

To me it looks like, in general, that teams with less overall history have announcers that are more biased. Interesting.
